I’m still not over the Artemis II mission and the coolness of the humans who pulled it off. It’s a testament to what we can be when we collaborate to pursue curiosities with passion, love and an overwhelming respect for where we live — and who we live with. I firmly believe that if we ever got a taste of what it’s like to live in such a world, we’d never go back. Alas.

Anyway, the international break is over and I’ll have some things heading to you about what I learned during USWNT v. Japan x3. But this weekend is all about the return of the NWSL. So below I have a reintroduction courtesy of neat shit I saw during the last round of games, and I’ve put together of XI of players who’ve hooped so hard that we should already keep an eye on them the rest of the season. And of course, the games to watch this weekend and week.

I combed through some data to find an XI of players who’ve put in standout performances in the first handful of games in the season. With the standard small sample sizes caveat, it’s worth keeping an eye on these players throughout the season to see whether or not they can continue cookin.
