Hi there.

We may be post NWSL-season and in the midst of an international break but oh, silly you, if you think the woso would stop. We have some international bangers coming up, plus the NCAAW Soccer Championship is about to go even more bonkers — starting today.

Don’t be like me kids but if this song comes on in the car the RPMs are doubling, at minimum. Please forgive me, and don’t tell my Mom.

🇺🇳 int’l

norway v. brazil
1 p.m. | ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
uswnt v. italy
7 p.m. | tnt, universo, peacock, hbo max

portugal v. netherlands
2:45 p.m. | paramount+

So far 20-year-old Signe Gaupset appears to be immune to Norway’s unseriousness. To stress test her immunity she’s also signed with Spurs, which is bold. But right now she has a brace against Brazil, which is a very good sign.

Portugal have lots of talent, as the USWNT found out. It will be interesting to see how the former-but-still-trying European power copes with them.

The USWNT have a chance to bounce back after their weird, scrappy window against Portugal. Italy went on a fun run at the EUROS, and eventually dumped out previously noted Unserious Norway.

🇪🇺 uefa nation’s league

germany v. spain (final, leg 1)
2:30 p.m. | paramount+ (probs golazo)

france v. sweden (3rd place, leg 1)
3:10 p.m. | paramount+

Ngl this snuck up on me. Germany seem like their getting their shit together, and Spain will be a good test to see how far they’ve come, and/or how much further they have to go.

France and Sweden are my two unreliable favs, so a matchup between them will either produce a gamut of emotion or just one single prolonged sigh that stretches across both legs. Let’s find out together.

🇺🇸 ncaaw quarterfinals (#s are rankings)

#13 washington v. #11 duke
4 p.m. | espn+
ohio st. v. #6 fsu
5 p.m. | espn+

#9 michigan st. v. #1 stanford
5 p.m. | espn+

Washington are legit, and Duke is super reliant on Mia Minestrella for their goalscoring (think she’s scored all but one of their goals this postseason). Could be an upset if Washington can manage to keep her from scoring again; even though that’s surely an idea other teams have had as well.

Stanford has not been messing around. After a lackluster showing in the first round (in which Cal Poly scored first), they’ve been bludgeoning opponents with goals — 7-3, 6-0. Good luck Sparty.

Emma Sears’ Ohio State have been the shock of the tournament so far, knocking out Notre Dame, then Baylor. FSU have a tendency to be a bit silly, so could suffer a similar fate if they can’t find a way to play to their talent level rather than their opposition’s.

🇺🇸 ncaaw quarterfinals (#s are rankings)

#5 tcu v. #8 vanderbilt
7:30 p.m. | espn+

Not really sure why these teams have a night all to themselves but in all honesty we should all consider it a #blessing and tune in. TCU are fun, and finding ways to win close games. Vanderbilt finished the season ranked 8th in the nation, but has so far had a somewhat unconvincing tournament.

uswnt v. italy
7 p.m. | tbs, peacock, hbo max

belgium v. finland

I hate that so many of these int’l matchups aren’t on tv or some streaming service. This will go doubly for the matchups below.

🇺🇳 int’l

morocco v. south africa

netherlands v. south korea

portugal v. brazil
9 a.m. | ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
england v. ghana
2 p.m. | ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
costa rica v. mexico
7 p.m. | ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I feel like throwing a bus off a cliff. How are there so many question marks about where to watch these games. If a World Cup spit out a matchday like this we would all squeal and faint.

There’s a chance Golazo puts on of them on, they are notoriously bad about advertising upcoming programming. ViX should also have Costa Rica/Mexico, but I haven’t been able to confirm that. Aside from those guesses, I got nothing, and I am extremely #mad #online about it.
