Hello there.

So, I know I didn’t tell any of you and my bad but I think I want to shift to making these a ‘first half of the week’ feature. Ideally, it’d be fresh and in your inbox Monday mornings, but I’m building in a day or two of grace. I primarily want to make the switch from a Friday drop because it’s taken me about a year to understand that between my day job and frequent podcasting, the time, space and creativity for writing is restricted—and I was staying up until 3am, making no progress and getting mad at myself (and dragging absolute as the following day).

Instead of this sudden and productive revelation, my brain spent a lot of time telling me that I suck and that I should just stop writing altogether, so it took a minute to sift through all that to discover that it was probably just a process/schedule thing. You remember the first time you stared at an optical illusion and someone pointed out the other thing you were supposed to see? Yeah, like that.

Anyway, what you really need to know is that the league phase of the UWCL ends today, and with a bit of fireworks. Every single game of the round is kicking off at 3pm because there are multiple moving parts and a lot can (and likely will) change by the time the final full time whistle is blown.

It will all be on Paramount+, and if you’re a neutral and want to follow along chaos morsel by chaos morsel, The Golazo Show will be doing a whiparound showing all the goals as they hit the net, and likely keeping you up to date on how it could affect the final table.

That won’t be all the woso this week. While every other top European league is calling it quits until the new year, the Frauen Bundesliga decided to stick around. Thank you, Frauen Bundesliga. There are some fun matchups to watch Friday, Sunday and Monday, to give us the woso fix we crave.
